App has always been laggy and slow. But this is new, I changed phone and now when I try to log in to my account by selecting continue with Google option it shows error occured and then I try to log in with continue with email, then it asks me to go back and try continue with Google option again. It's like groundhog Day or sth but of apps, stuck in a loop.

I'm surprised the app takes a whole GB of drive space. either the servers are quite slow or the app is not very responsive itself. I think the app could use some performance updates.

Android Issues - Google Pixel phone will load the app and conversations initially, but after typing a sentence or so it will lag and not display the characters being typed for a good 30 seconds or so. After I wait for this the message won't send. I have to close and re open the app. I've tried reinstalling the app, but that didn't seem to help. Update: it seems to be time driven instead of characters. It happens both in group chat and dm.
