You guys probably know by now that I'm a total beach bum. I love anything having to do with the ocean - the soothing sounds of the waves, the salty sea air, watching the majestic tides ebb and flow. Lately though, it's been a little too cold where I live to hang out at the shore. That's why I've been on the hunt for some new wallpapers to bring the beach vibes inside my home.
While browsing online, I came across these incredible "sea core" wallpapers that totally blew me away. In case you've never heard of them, sea core wallpapers feature slices of the ocean floor that have been carefully cut and polished. They basically look like little windows into the sandy seafloor that you can stick on your walls. Seeing all the different layers, textures, and colors buried under the ocean is just so dang cool. It really makes you appreciate the beauty hiding below the surface.
The wallpapers come in all sorts of sizes so you can find one to fit practically any room. I decided to update the boring beige walls in my home office. Now whenever I'm bogged down with work, I can just glance up from my computer and feel instantly transported to a tropical beach oasis. The rippled sand patterns and subtle sea greens are like visual ASMR that soothes my soul. Plus, I like the idea that a little piece of Mother Nature's underwater world is now in my space. It's the perfect pick-me-up during these colder months.
I'll be the first to admit that sea core wallpapers don't come cheap. The artisanal process of slicing and polishing each piece means they're definitely not low-budget decorations. But in my opinion, they're totally worth the splurge if you want to elevate your rooms with a unique, eco-friendly aesthetic. Have any of you tried sea core wallpapers in your homes yet? Or am I just a crazy beach bum for thinking these things are cool? Let me know if you decide to take the plunge too! Now excuse me while I go daydream about summer on my new office "seafloor."
